Jackie Currie is a mom, wife, childcare provider, and the creator of Happy Hooligans – a blog dedicated to kids’ crafts and activities, easy family recipes, and parenting.
Jackie has always had creative flair, domestic prowess, and a passion for children. In 1997, she turned her passions into a full-time career, opening her own home daycare, and has been providing kids with magical childhoods ever since.
In 2011, Jackie started blogging as a way to share her creative daycare activities with other parents and early childhood educators. Her blog grew quickly, becoming an international resource for kids’ art, craft and play ideas.
Today, Happy Hooligans inspires more than 2 Million parents, caregivers and Early Years Professionals all over the globe.
Jackie’s work has been featured in Good Housekeeping, Parents Magazine, Today’s Parent, Woman’s Day, and Woman’s World. She is a Senior Writer for CBC Parents and has appeared on CTV’s national morning show, Canada A.M.
Jackie lives on the shores of Lake Ontario with her husband, Mike, and her sons Matthew (20) and Andrew (17).
When she’s not at her laptop, she can be found rummaging through her craft cupboards or vacuuming glitter out of the floorboards, an espresso close at hand.
